Missing GRACE Foundation has a team of volunteers called the GRACE Crisis Care Team who assist families during the time surrounding the birth of a baby who will not survive or who will be stillborn. This includes miscarriages as early as 17 weeks gestation and up to a year after a child is born.
Making Memories Photos and Video Sessions: images while the mother is pregnant of her belly, before delivery, during delivery, once baby is born and afterwards with family and friends as well as at the funeral service. The photo and video services are provided to help parents and their families with Making Memories and to journal the brief and tender time with a precious and loved baby or infant.
Professional quality photo and video memorials are captured and created in a loving, respectful and sensitive manner. The services are free of charge and parents receive a CD of all their images and a DVD with a Memorial Video Montage that combines live video and pictures set to beautiful commemorative music.
Currently these services are available for families in the twin cities and surrounding cities in Minnesota. We hope to grow this program throughout all of MN and to other states. Please let us know if you would be interested to join our GRACE Crisis Care Team by contacting us at info@missinggrace.org. Volunteers are provided training by both Missing GRACE Foundation and the local hospital they are serving and are on a rotating on-call schedule. When a call comes into Missing GRACE from a hospital to notify of a fetal demise, a GRACE Crisis Care Team member is dispatched and goes to the hospital to assist the family providing all the listed services noted below.

The GRACE Crisis Care Team is on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and provides support, education, resources, and photography/video services to patients and their families at the time surrounding a perinatal loss at the hospital. Missing GRACE Foundation has been offering these services since 2004 and contracts with many hospitals throughout Minnesota to ensure families can receive the following services:
*GRACE Care Basket & GRACE Care Tote Program
*Emotional care and support during labor and after baby is born
*GRACE Gowns & Hats made to fit babies 1lb to term
*A Making Memories Photo and Video Session for baby and family
*A Memorial Video and picture montage compilation on DVD
*Funeral service planning
*Referrals to low cost burial and cremation providers
*Grief support with follow-up calls and home visits
*Referrals to conventional and alternative medical providers
The GRACE Crisis Care Team services are available to any family experiencing a pregnancy or infant loss. If for example, Missing GRACE receives a call from a friend or family member of a parent who has just learned they will be delivering a baby that will be stillborn, our GRACE Crisis Care Team will go to assist that family at the hospital even if that particular hospital is not one we contract with.
